Dr. Monica is a person-centered practitioner who bases her practice on the latest available evidence and science. She has a passion for addressing healthcare barriers and empowering individuals to advocate for and enhance their health. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science specializing in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University and then went on to obtain her chiropractic degree from Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in Toronto, Ontario, where she received the York-Peel Chiropractic Award upon graduation.
Dr. Monica has a strong passion for understanding the human body and its function fostering her dedication in being a musculoskeletal expert. She also holds additional certifications from the McMaster University Contemporary Medical Acupuncture program, specializing in Neurofunctional Acupuncture and a Concussion: Prevention, Detection, and Management Certificate from Université Laval and UCalgary, equipping her to offer a wide variety of treatment options. Following a thorough examination and diagnosis, she tailors personalized treatment plans to address the individual as a whole, which can include spinal and/or extremity adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue therapy, rehabilitation exercises, acupuncture, and more. She works in collaboration with other regulated healthcare professionals when needed to offer a holistic approach to care.
