what is it ?
Tennis elbow, medically referred to as "lateral epicondylitis, involves inflammation or microtearing of the tendons that connect the forearm muscles to the outer part of the elbow.
cause
The main cause of tennis elbow is repetitive movements. Engaging in activities such as gripping, twisting, or lifting strains the tendons, leading to microtears or inflammation, ultimately resulting in pain.
Tennis elbow commonly affects individuals between the ages of 30-50. Occupations requiring repetitive arm movements or gripping, along with sports or activities with incorrect form, contribute to its development. Engaging in repetitive movements without sufficient rest can also cause tennis elbow. Symptoms of tennis elbow include a pain or burning sensation on the outside of the elbow that may extend down the forearm, weakness in the affected arm, stiffness, and pain when performing certain movements.
